ROLE SUMMARY
This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager of the Studio Distribution team. Its primary responsibility is handling the business unit's Accounts Receivable function, ensuring that billings are accurate and outstanding balances are collected. This role will also help prepare the Daily Distributors Report, which summarizes the Admissions and Gross Box Office collections of Studio releases, and other reporting requirements.
ROLE PROFILE
Validate that the Admissions, Gross Box Office, and Net Box Office are accurately captured in the Daily Distributors Report.
Resolve any variances detected between weekly reports and Daily Distributor Reports, which may include contacting Exhibitors and other stakeholders if necessary.
Ensure that Invoicing follows local tax regulations, including Value Added Tax set-up and Forex rates to be used.
Invoicing mainly covers Film rental but will also include invoicing for any Private Screening, Barter transactions, marketing recharges, and others.
Constantly review the Aging report and escalate any slow payers and other issues to the Business Unit management team.
Review the calculation of Provision for Bad Debts every month-end closing.
Ensure that Daily reports are received from cinemas across the region.
Ensure that any formulas and analysis reports are working correctly.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
3 years of finance experience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Is flexible to work on weekends and holidays if needed to meet reporting deadlines.
Finance certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA, and equivalent) are an advantage.
Has a strong personality and is not scared to communicate with Senior Management.
