Conservator & Artifacts Restorer
We are seeking a skilled Conservator & Artifacts Restorer with a passion for preserving historical value and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of antique items. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restoration, recreation of missing parts, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the authenticity of every piece. Key Responsibilities
Restoration and Preservation
- Carefully restore antique items to their original state, ensuring the integrity and historical value of the pieces are maintained.
- Utilize traditional restoration techniques with a focus on maintaining authenticity.
- Metal conservation experience is highly preferred.
Recreation of Antiques
- Recreate missing or damaged parts of antiques using traditional methods and materials.
- Maintain authenticity in every detail, ensuring consistency with historical crafting techniques.
Condition Assessment
- Conduct thorough assessments of antique items to determine their condition.
- Identify appropriate restoration techniques needed to preserve and enhance the items.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of restoration processes, materials used, and any changes made to the items.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and accessible for historical reference and future preservation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with curators, historians, and other professionals to ensure the accuracy and historical integrity of restoration projects.

Material Sourcing
