Job Purpose
Plan, organize, and manage repair services on customer vehicles to ensure optimal resource utilization and meet revenue targets set by management.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage all daily repair and maintenance services on customer vehicles, including vehicle movement in and out of the workshop.
Monitor the workshop floor to ensure adherence to dealer standard operating procedures and effective management of service personnel.
Maintain and upkeep workshop equipment to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
Initiate procurement of additional equipment in line with business growth.
Achieve service manager-established forecasts.
Check job status as often as necessary (at least twice each shift), update customers on any change in promised time, and notify of any additional repairs required.
Spot-check repairs to ensure quality and timely completion.
Schedule job assignments to workshop staff to ensure timely repairs.
Ensure profitable operation of the workshop and facilities.
Motivate the workshop team and maintain high morale to deliver the highest level of customer service.
Adhere to standard operating procedures to prevent customer dissatisfaction.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements for workshop operations.
Verify that service jobs are completed as per customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
Handle accident repairs following set procedures, obtaining prior approvals as required.
Ensure technicians adhere to warranty material disposition procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications: 3-year diploma or degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of similar experience in an automotive dealer setting.
