What Does a Head of Inclusion Do?

As Head of Inclusion, you will drive the development and implementation of inclusive practices across the school. This strategic role involves leading the SEN, EAL, and Gifted & Talented programs to ensure compliance with KHDA regulations while supporting teachers, students, and families in creating a differentiated and welcoming learning environment.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?

- Lead the design and execution of the school’s inclusion strategy in line with KHDA and GEMS policies

- Provide training, coaching, and professional development to teachers on inclusion and behavior support
- Liaise with external agencies, parents, and leadership to ensure cohesive and timely student support
- Oversee compliance with all documentation, reporting, and policies related to the Dubai Inclusive Education Framework
- Ensure access arrangements for exams and assessments are planned and implemented appropriately
- Support admissions and enrolment processes by identifying learning support needs and advising parents

What Skills Are Needed for a Head of Inclusion in Dubai?

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Master’s degree is highly preferred
