NYU Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics. Openings are available at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. The Mathematics Program is expanding as part of a multi-year growth plan and the launch of a Master’s program in Interdisciplinary Data Science and AI. Candidates from all areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply, with special consideration for those whose research aligns with theoretical foundations of machine learning, data science, and related fields.

- Develop and expand research in areas such as geometry, topology, probability theory, statistical mechanics, and analysis of partial differential equations.
- Collaborate with faculty and research centers on interdisciplinary projects, particularly in AI and data science.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement at NYUAD.
- Engage in academic service, including conference participation, peer reviews, and faculty mentorship.
- Participate in university outreach and initiatives promoting diversity, inclusion, and academic excellence.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of research excellence demonstrated through publications in top-tier journals.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the university level.
- Strong background in theoretical or applied mathematics, with a preference for expertise in machine learning, AI, or computational mathematics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural academic environment.
