NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic and organized University Sports Teams Coordinator to support the successful operation of university sports teams within the Department of Athletics. The role requires strong administrative, communication, and leadership skills to coordinate sports events, oversee team logistics, and enhance student-athlete engagement. This is a fixed-term position for three years, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the university’s athletic programs and student well-being.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for university sports teams, managing schedules, fixtures, and tournaments.
- Organize team travel, space bookings, equipment needs, and record-keeping for team activities.
- Act as a key liaison between student-athletes, coaches, and university stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of team coaches and instructors.
- Promote sports events through social media, internal communication channels, and collaboration with the External Relations team.
- Collect and analyze data on student-athlete performance and team effectiveness, generating reports for strategic improvements.
- Assist in tracking budgets, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient financial operations for university sports programs.
- Teach at least one Physical and Health Education course per semester, developing lesson plans and monitoring student participation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures for sports activities.
- Represent NYUAD at university sports events and assist in organizing division-wide student engagement programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management, Sports Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collegiate or high school athletic environments.
- Experience in coaching or sports instruction.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience with Google Drive and Microsoft Office applications.
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration or a related field.
- Coaching and teaching certifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in sports program coordination.
- Passion for sports, student engagement, and athlete development.
- Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.
