As part of the commercial finance team, responsibility would be to own margin control, knowledge of business commercials, insightful analysis for the business, margin budgeting & forecasting, commercial controls and payments.
Responsible for overall gross margin control through business commercials including evaluation of promotions, supplier negotiations (for rebates/ supports), tracking of budgeted margins and profitability
Co-ordinate monthly book closing activities, ensuring accurate and complete income recording, provisions booking/reversals, margin control.
Timely analysis and reporting of financial performance at store and SBU level, insightful analysis-based MIS reporting
Regular liaising with other functions for business related requirements, corporate queries, and management reports
Overheads control for the territory and business partnering support for all cost function projects.
Initiate and implement improvements in business processes and ensuring tight internal control specially over vendor payments, commercial deals, shrinkage/damages.
Qualifications
Experience in commercial finance. Retail industry experience would be a preferred add-on.
Qualified Chartered Accountant
Sharp analytical mindset, flair for number crunching, and bringing out insights rather than just reporting numbers.
Strong ownership for work, highly motivated to drive initiatives, positive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Advanced Excel, power point skills, Power BI, or Tableau. Knowledge of SQL/Python/RPA will be preferred
