The Manager – Emerging and Innovative Technologies will design, integrate, and oversee the implementation of cutting-edge technology projects. This role involves managing R&D initiatives, running emerging tech labs, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and building strategic partnerships to keep RTA at the forefront of global smart mobility innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic integration of AI, IoT, blockchain, and other emerging technologies across RTA’s operations
- Design, manage, and evaluate proof of concept (POC) initiatives for innovative digital solutions
- Identify and develop opportunities for new digital business models and revenue streams
- Oversee the development of AI algorithms, predictive analytics models, and emerging tech solutions
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure technology adoption aligns with RTA’s strategic objectives
- Monitor global technology trends and maintain active partnerships with startups, research institutions, and tech industry leaders
- Manage the operations of the Emerging Tech Lab, positioning it as a center for innovation and experimentation
- Conduct feasibility studies, manage project risks, and ensure adherence to cybersecurity and governance frameworks
- Mentor and lead a team of emerging tech specialists and analysts, fostering a high-performance culture
- Report project progress and innovation milestones to senior leadership, contributing to the broader digital transformation strategy
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university
Experience:
- Minimum 14 years of experience in technology strategy, innovation management, or leading emerging technology projects
Skills:
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, AR/VR, and Quantum Computing
- Strong background in cybersecurity, governance, and technology risk management
- Proficiency in data analytics, quantitative analysis, and AI application design
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with senior stakeholders and technical teams
