What does a Paediatrician do?
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental conditions
- Conduct routine wellness check-ups, growth assessments, and immunizations
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care
What are the key responsibilities?
- Perform physical exams, evaluate medical histories, and assess developmental milestones
- Administer vaccinations and manage preventive healthcare programs
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric illnesses
- Advise parents on nutrition, behavior, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Provide emergency care and refer patients to specialists when necessary
- Maintain accurate electronic health records for each patient
- Stay current with pediatric medical advancements through regular training and continued education
What qualifications and experience are required?
Education:
- Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Completion of residency in Paediatrics
- Valid DHA license or eligibility preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paediatrician in a clinical setting
- Proven ability to manage a wide range of pediatric health concerns
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage children and their families
- Deep knowledge of pediatric growth and development
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to varied clinical scenarios
