What Does a Specialist Dermatologist Do?
As a Specialist Dermatologist at HealthHub by Al-Futtaim, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of skin conditions. This includes both clinical dermatology and non-invasive cosmetic procedures. The role offers you a chance to practice in a fully equipped, multidisciplinary medical center with access to the latest dermatological technology.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions
- Perform non-invasive and minimally invasive dermatologic procedures
- Conduct comprehensive patient skin assessments and prescribe appropriate treatments
- Provide specialist care for patients experiencing hair loss using advanced restoration techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Monitor patient progress, update medical records, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on preventive skincare, treatment options, and aftercare
- Engage in research or training initiatives that promote dermatological advancements
What Skills Are Needed for a Dermatologist Role in the UAE?
Education & Experience:
- MBBS or MBChB with a recognized Dermatology specialty qualification approved by DHA, HAAD, or MOH
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support
- Minimum 5+ years post-specialization experience in dermatology
- Arabic and English fluency is essential for effective patient communication
Core Competencies:
- Strong clinical knowledge across general and cosmetic dermatology
- Expertise in diagnosis, prescription, and non-invasive procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle complex cases and maintain accurate documentation
