What Does a Fitness Instructor Do at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island?
Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is hiring a certified and energetic Fitness Instructor to lead guest fitness experiences in a luxurious beachfront setting in Abu Dhabi. This role involves managing gym operations, conducting personal training sessions, and curating wellness programs that align with the resort’s high standards of hospitality and guest care.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Monitor and maintain gymnasium equipment through regular maintenance and record-keeping
- Deliver personalized exercise programs and one-on-one personal training sessions
- Conduct fitness consultations and assist guests in tracking progress during their stay
- Cover the gym reception and assist with the fitness retail area, including stock control and guest purchases
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety across all gym and sports areas
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary
- Stay informed about fitness and wellness trends to improve services and programming
- Supervise both indoor and outdoor sports and leisure activities offered at the resort
- Administer medical questionnaires and monitor guest safety during classes and workouts
What Skills Are Needed for a Fitness Instructor in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Recognized international certification in Personal Training or Group Fitness
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort
- Prior experience conducting private training sessions and fitness assessments
Skills:
- Knowledge of exercise science and fitness programming
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Familiarity with gym equipment maintenance procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Sales awareness in retail fitness or wellness products is a plus
- Multilingual ability is advantageous, especially in Arabic, Russian, or French
