Investment Analyst – Financial Modelling and Business Case Development
DP World UAE is hiring an Investment Analyst to support global investment initiatives through detailed financial modeling, strategic evaluation, and business case development. Based in Dubai, this role plays a critical part in helping the senior leadership assess investment opportunities that align with the company’s long-term vision across the logistics and trade sector.

What Does an Investment Analyst Do?
- Participate in client meetings to assess business models and propose financially viable solutions
- Develop detailed financial models, conduct valuation analysis, and perform industry research
- Prepare investment business cases covering strategic fit, market positioning, and financial returns such as IRR, NPV, and ROCE
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to collect data, validate assumptions, and refine proposals
- Assist with due diligence by analyzing financial reports, budgets, and market conditions
- Monitor and report on the performance of committed investments, conducting post-investment reviews
- Track market trends and identify new opportunities in trade, logistics, and infrastructure
- Support capital allocation decisions by presenting insights to senior management and stakeholders
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Deliver high-quality investment proposals that guide executive decision-making
- Ensure strategic alignment of new investments with business goals and ROI targets
- Validate financial performance through robust modeling and scenario analysis
- Present complex data clearly through presentations and investment reports
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial data
- Travel as needed for on-site audits and investment assessments
What Skills Are Needed for an Investment Analyst in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- CA or MBA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or business development
- At least 3 years in the logistics or distribution industry preferred
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and valuation
- Understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and risk analysis
- Experience with PowerPoint and financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ is an advantage
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Clear communicator and confident presenter
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work across global teams
