Job Overview
The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient functioning of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and data center infrastructure. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership in vendor management, and the ability to maintain compliance with local regulations and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facilities operations, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics
- Manage HVAC systems design, operations, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Supervise electrical and mechanical assets including elevators, UPS, generators, RO systems, STP, LV panels, and fire safety systems
- Lead vendor negotiations, SLA compliance, and performance audits
- Ensure facility infrastructure adheres to UAE building codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate the management of surveillance, access control, and security systems
- Oversee critical environments including data centers, ensuring uptime and equipment integrity
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs for long-term asset life cycle
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth facility integration
- Prepare reports on operational efficiency, incidents, repairs, and improvement plans
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in facilities management with HVAC specialization
- Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems design and maintenance
- In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure: cooling, power, and safety systems
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, HSE practices, and technical standards
- Proven experience in vendor management and service-level agreement (SLA) control
- Ability to oversee complex security and surveillance infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in maintenance management tools and asset tracking systems
