This role is ideal for candidates with foundational Oracle knowledge and a strong interest in database administration. The Junior DBA will work closely with senior DBAs and development teams to ensure database availability, performance, and security.

Job Overview
The Junior Oracle DBA will assist in managing Oracle database systems and contribute to maintaining their performance, availability, and security. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and other core technologies in a dynamic IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle databases
- Monitor database health, analyze performance metrics, and support tuning activities
- Support database backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations using RMAN
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams for integration and performance improvements
- Implement database security practices including access control and auditing
- Participate in patching, upgrades, and maintenance schedules
- Help manage and configure Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and Data Guard environments
- Maintain database documentation and support procedural compliance
- Assist in troubleshooting database incidents and root cause analysis
Requirements
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certification is preferred
- Good understanding of relational database principles, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Basic experience with Oracle RAC, Grid, ASM, RMAN, and Data Guard
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery best practices
- Exposure to performance monitoring tools and basic tuning techniques
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Basic understanding of networking, storage, and IT security fundamentals
- Awareness of other databases like PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
