L1 NOC Engineer
We are hiring an L1 NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineer for our Dubai-based operations at Dicetek. This is an exciting opportunity for IT professionals with 2–5 years of experience to work in a mission-critical environment and grow their career in network and infrastructure support.

Job Overview
The L1 NOC Engineer will be responsible for real-time monitoring, incident response, and first-level troubleshooting of network, systems, and applications. You will play a vital role in ensuring IT infrastructure reliability and performance through 24/7 support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor networks, systems, and applications using monitoring tools to detect incidents in real-time
- Respond to alerts, log incidents, and perform initial diagnostics on connectivity and hardware issues
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to L2/L3 support teams as per escalation matrix
- Assist in applying routine patches, updates, and maintenance tasks
- Perform daily health checks on network devices, servers, and key applications
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident logs and network configurations
- Generate daily and weekly reports on system performance and incidents
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve ongoing issues and ensure optimal operations
- Participate in shift rotations, including nights and weekends, as part of a 24/7 support model
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support, network operations, or NOC environments
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, ServiceNow, or Jira
- Ability to document incidents and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred
- Willingness to work in 24/7 rotating shifts including weekends
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a 24/7 operational setup or NOC environment
- Understanding of ITIL-based incident and problem management practices
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their associated monitoring tools
