Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to define and implement the technical roadmap and architecture for the Android application
- Develop and optimize complex features to enhance scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code while operating as a high-performing engineer
- Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and design principles
- Work closely with backend, frontend, and leadership teams to continuously improve Android app design and architecture
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an Android Engineer, preferably in fast-paced, consumer-focused companies
- Track record of successfully delivering and scaling Android applications with a large user base
- Strong proficiency in Android Kotlin with a deep understanding of Android frameworks and APIs
- Experience with engineering complex mobile app architectures, including data modelling, networking, caching, and synchronization
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and frequent release cadences
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a passion for clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
