What Does a Senior Manager in Finance & Performance Strategy Do?
As a Senior Manager Finance & Performance, you take charge of advising C-level executives on how to modernize and transform their financial operations. You work across strategic areas like finance transformation, shared services implementation, and M&A finance structuring—enhancing performance, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead transformation initiatives for CFO organizations and finance departments
- Design corporate finance strategies focused on planning, control, and reporting
- Implement shared services, outsourcing, and global business models
- Analyze and optimize operational finance structures across corporate entities
- Oversee M&A-related finance integration, carve-outs, and Day 1 readiness
- Manage client relationships and large interdisciplinary project teams
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Manager in Düsseldorf?
Education and Experience:
- Degree in economics, business administration, or related discipline
- At least 6 years of experience in management consulting, auditing, or industry finance
Core Skills:
- Strong knowledge in at least one domain: finance strategy, operational finance, M&A finance, or business finance
- Proven ability to communicate with C-level clients and lead large teams
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Fluent in both German and English with strong presentation abilities
- Willingness to travel for project-based work
