What Does a (Senior) SAP Consultant in the Public Sector Do?
In this role, you will advise public sector and non-profit clients (e.g., educational institutions) on complex SAP transformation initiatives. You will work on client-specific SAP S/4HANA solutions and contribute to streamlining operational processes and improving digital infrastructure in the public domain.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Design customized SAP solutions focused on S/4HANA, IT architecture, public sector modules, and reporting
- Guide clients through the full lifecycle—from requirements analysis and conceptual design to implementation and rollout of sector-specific SAP applications
- Support client workshops and contribute to presentations and decision-making materials
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in the development of proposals and thought leadership
- Continuously build expertise within the SAP ecosystem and contribute to project delivery excellence
What Skills Are Needed for This SAP Role in Hamburg?
Education:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of consulting or advisory experience in SAP projects
- Prior exposure to SAP solutions in the public or non-profit sector is preferred
- Strong understanding of value chains and operational processes in government or educational institutions
Skills:
- Passion for complex challenges and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English
