Dicetek is seeking an experienced and visionary Solution Architect to lead the design and deployment of innovative digital platforms across IoT, Smart City, and Smart Park domains. Based in Dubai, this role is ideal for a highly technical leader with a strong background in Azure Cloud, full-stack development, DevOps, and IoT ecosystems.

Job Overview
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining and implementing scalable, secure, and robust architectures for smart city and IoT initiatives. You will bridge business goals and technical solutions, leading cross-functional teams and guiding the end-to-end software development lifecycle across modern cloud and edge platforms.
Responsibilities
- Architect comprehensive digital solutions for smart city and smart infrastructure projects using Azure Cloud and IoT technologies
- Lead development of cloud-native web and mobile applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Integrate and manage IoT platforms and protocols including MQTT, CoAP, and LwM2M for connected devices and edge computing
- Oversee DevOps operations with GitLab pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates
- Define best practices for SDLC, including agile delivery and cross-platform development (iOS and Android)
- Support smart city deployments involving smart mobility, smart lighting, environmental sensors, and other urban technologies
- Develop architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and system flowcharts to align development efforts
- Mentor engineering teams on architecture, performance optimization, and secure coding practices
- Manage stakeholder expectations and translate complex technical solutions into business-aligned outcomes
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity frameworks, and industry-specific regulations
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or architecture role
- Proven expertise in Azure Cloud services (IoT Hub, Functions, Cosmos DB, App Services, Azure AD, Front Door, PostgreSQL, AKS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and automation pipelines using GitLab
- Strong knowledge of IoT platforms such as Cumulocity, and communication protocols like MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP
- Full-stack development experience using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Working knowledge of Strapi CMS and headless content architecture integration
- Mobile app development experience using React Native
- Solid understanding of edge computing, serverless architecture, and microservices design
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align technical design with strategic goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Solution Architect certification or Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer
- Experience in smart city technologies, urban mobility, or digital infrastructure projects
- Exposure to AI/ML, real-time analytics, and IoT data processing frameworks
