What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Deliver strategic reports, IT integration/separation roadmaps, and business cases across various M&A stages
- Support and manage small teams on client engagements involving complex technology-driven transactions
- Lead day-to-day project activities and client communications with strong attention to quality and delivery
- Leverage deep technology and industry insights to identify and manage potential transaction risks
- Participate in business development, proposal writing, and commercial structuring
- Contribute to internal practice growth through account support, training, and talent mentoring
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth IT transition, transformation, or due diligence outcomes
- Build long-term relationships with clients through expert consulting and value-driven outcomes
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior IT M&A Consultant in Australia?
Education & Experience:
- 2–5 years’ experience in IT strategy, M&A integration/separation, or technology due diligence projects
- Consulting experience or prior industry work in Financial Services, Public Sector, Technology, or Consumer Goods is highly valued
- Experience with staff mentoring and leading small teams
- Prior exposure to change management, cultural integration, or digital transformation is desirable
Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to interpret technical challenges for non-technical audiences
- Experience working in high-pressure environments with multiple priorities
- Familiarity with IT operating models, infrastructure assessments, and digital platforms
- Ability to travel when required for client engagements
