Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Technician - Instrumentation to perform a wide range of duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of instrument and control systems. The role involves ensuring efficient operation with minimal downtime while adhering to EHS guidelines and promoting continuous improvement. This position is open to both female and male candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to all instrument and control equipment breakdowns and perform planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision, reducing production downtime.
- Assess job requirements, select necessary tools and equipment, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Diagnose instrument and control breakdowns and troubleshoot failures of plant equipment with minimal direction.
- Perform maintenance work in compliance with safety procedures, maintenance plans, and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely calibration of equipment as per schedule and business requirements.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance system (SAP) to order spare parts and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Monitor recurring breakdowns and recommend or implement modifications to resolve issues.
- Provide guidance to newly joined instrument mechanics, equipping them with the knowledge required for maintenance work.
- Continuously improve EHS and plant performance by participating in Business Excellence activities like Suggestion Scheme, 5S, Hazard Reporting, and more.
- Identify and report abnormalities, initiate repairs or replacements, and maintain a clean working area.
- Collaborate with other departments for equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Perform other related duties as communicated by the supervisor or technician.
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Diploma in a relevant field or completion of PEC Craft Training.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a smelter environment or heavy industrial setup after obtaining a Diploma.
- No experience required for candidates who have completed PEC Training.
Skills:
- Good proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and basic computer knowledge.
- Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and instrument calibration.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions.
- Knowledge of PLC control systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
