Perform daily checks and log data related to the medical gas plant.
Monitor the functioning of medical gas plant equipment and update the supervisor in case of any deviations from expected performance.
Monitor and maintain all medical gas levels in the medical gas plant room and throughout the hospital.
Maintain all medical gas cylinders, ensuring proper circulation, refilling, and maintaining logs.
Attend to all breakdown calls and emergency calls related to the medical gas plant.
Conduct periodic rounds of hospital units to check supply points.
Perform periodic preventive maintenance, calibration, and purity checks with external technicians or engineers, as required by HAAD.
Provide monthly data on the stock and consumption of medical gases.
Stay informed about department performance and objectives.
Adhere to hospital safety norms, ensuring both patient and staff safety.
Support or carry out data collection as needed.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the superior.
Maintain all medical furniture under the supervision of the biomedical engineer.
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Responsibilities:
Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, cooperating with hospital management to meet these requirements.
Follow documented OSH procedures and instructions as per specific responsibilities.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Report OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and assist with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.
Comply with waste management procedures and policies.
Attend applicable OSH and infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Maintain the building and facility in a safe manner.
Prepare for and participate in the hospital's emergency management program.
Provide expert advice and information regarding building and facility OSH matters.
Support the development of objectives and monitor the achievement of objectives in compliance with HAAD Health Sector OSHMS requirements across all departments.
