Key Responsibilities:
Formulate information, analyse data and create reports related to material requisitioning, job planning, direct labour man-hour utilisation and cost estimation associated with PM and/or CM.
Analyse both maintenance and supply related data to identify deficiencies and offer solutions to enhance efficiency and increase production throughput.
Perform quality work as part of the ISO 9001 program.
Develop and submit accurate maintenance and production related reports.
Plan both Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) based upon the Annual Workload Forecast, Annual Service Plan (ASP), available manpower, skills required, estimated timeframes to execute maintenance and the availability of special tooling, diagnostic test equipment, materials and/or spare parts.
Maintain a reporting system that will assist in identifying negative trends and streamline workshop operations.
Submit comprehensive maintenance and repair reports as required.
Update CMMS as it applies to equipment asset management, supply chain management, work management and maintenance management.
Use Microsoft Project as it applies to project management, scheduled analysis and resource optimisation.
Generate maintenance, production, spare parts and material availability, and direct labour man-hour utilisation reports as instructed.
Ensure all property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
Support other members of the Production Control Department in fulfilling their roles.
Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
Perform other duties as required by their line manager and the Senior Manager, Production Control and Information Technology.
Experience and Education:
High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience in Production Control is required.
Previous experience with any CMMS enterprise (e.g. SAP or MAXIMO) is required.
Excellent organisational skills and familiarity with the analysis of information and data is preferred.
Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services is required.
Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software is preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
