What Does an IT Audit Senior Do in Audit & Assurance?
As a Senior in IT Audit, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit engagements by assessing IT risks, evaluating system controls, and supporting financial audit teams. You will contribute to audit planning, execute fieldwork, and lead client communication to ensure Deloitte’s commitment to audit excellence.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Develop IT audit strategies by assessing business processes and determining the scope of audit procedures
- Conduct IT risk assessments and testing of general IT controls (GITCs), system-generated reports, and automated controls
- Prepare audit timelines and manage audit fieldwork efficiently to meet engagement deadlines
- Communicate audit issues, findings, and recommendations to client management and internal stakeholders
- Work across multiple industries with a focus on financial services and telecommunications
- Assist in building strong client relationships through professional and timely interaction
- Ensure audit deliverables meet Deloitte’s global quality standards and audit methodologies
- Support audit managers with status updates, documentation, and resolution of technical issues

What Skills Are Needed for an IT Audit Senior in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business IT, or Management Information Systems
- CISA certification preferred; additional certifications are an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years in IT audit, IT internal controls, or IT external audit within professional services, telecom, or financial services
- Proven experience testing controls across applications, databases, and operating systems
- Solid understanding of business process controls and their integration with IT systems
Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; data analysis knowledge is a plus
