This role supports the Store Manager in leading day-to-day operations, team performance, and customer satisfaction, ensuring store profitability and consistent brand excellence.

What Does an Assistant Store Manager Do?
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting store leadership in achieving sales goals, delivering a premium customer experience, managing daily operations, and driving team development. In the absence of the Store Manager, this role ensures seamless store functioning in alignment with Majid Al Futtaim’s brand and operational standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales targets and KPIs
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations
- Act as store-in-charge during the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolution
- Maintain professional communication with internal departments like Marketing, Buying, and Planning
- Implement brand campaigns and in-store promotions to drive customer engagement and sales
- Monitor store compliance with company policies to prevent stock loss and ensure operational integrity
- Coach and develop team members to build a high-performance retail environment
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify business improvement opportunities
What Skills Are Needed for a Store Management Role in Cairo?
Education:
- Diploma or High School Certificate required
- Formal training in Retail Management is an added advantage
Experience:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in retail, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Skills:
- Proven people management and team leadership capabilities
- Sales-driven mindset with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand retail environment
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, store merchandising, and operations
