Senior Internal Auditor - Finance
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen our financial risk management, control, and governance processes. This role will play a critical part in evaluating and improving financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable recommendations for process efficiency. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in internal audit methodologies, financial controls, and risk assessment.

Experience: 8-15 years in internal auditing, with at least 3 years as a senior internal auditor. UAE industry experience is required, with preference for candidates from property development or construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct opening meetings with auditees to explain audit scope and objectives
- Develop a thorough understanding of financial processes and document process flows
- Identify risks and controls within financial processes and recommend improvements
- Design risk-based audit test plans and execute audit procedures
- Evaluate financial controls for adequacy and effectiveness
- Document audit findings with supporting evidence and propose corrective actions
- Participate in audit closing meetings to present findings and recommendations
- Assist in preparing clear and concise audit reports for senior management
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations within agreed timelines
- Support legal, compliance, and ethics teams on investigations and special projects
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and consultancy to enhance business processes
- Provide timely reports on financial control gaps and remediation status
Job Requirements
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Internal Auditing (CA, ACCA, CPA)
- Preference for holders of CIA, CISA, or CFE certifications
- Strong knowledge of IIA performance standards, audit planning, and documentation
- Expertise in financial auditing, risk assessment, and fraud detection
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage multiple assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial reporting tools
Preferred Background
- Experience in the real estate or construction industry is highly desirable
- Prior experience in UAE-based organizations is required
