Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Estimation in managing the estimation team and ensuring deliverables are aligned with project timelines and budgets
- Provide budget recommendations and develop cost estimates for large-scale real estate projects
- Conduct cost analysis, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project completion
- Oversee design changes at each project milestone, identifying key variances and guiding the design team to align with budget constraints
- Establish cost monitoring principles, reporting systems, and control measures for financial tracking
- Evaluate cost consultancy fee proposals and ensure cost plans reflect market trends and project design intent
- Maintain an in-house cost database, benchmarking awarded contracts and cost plans at different design stages
- Lead assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets and company policies
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide cost-related insights
- Manage and mentor team members, ensuring compliance with estimation policies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Monitor market trends and advise on potential cost escalations that could impact project budgets
- Ensure all procurement and estimation processes comply with company policies and industry standards
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Professional certification such as RICS (preferred)
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in cost estimation, with at least 4 years in a senior project estimation role, preferably within a consultancy or master developer environment
- Strong project management and cost analysis skills
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and project specifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and estimation tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills to ensure budget alignment across teams
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on team development
