This role offers an exciting opportunity to conceptualize and design MEP systems for high-end residential and hospitality developments, including iconic projects like Burj Azizi and Azizi Venice.

Job Overview
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the complete mechanical design of complex residential and mixed-use developments. This includes HVAC, smoke control, fire protection, LPG systems, drainage, and water distribution, ensuring full compliance with Dubai’s authority regulations and Azizi standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design full Mechanical Systems (Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Smoke Control, Fire Protection, LPG, Drainage, and Water) from concept to detailed design stages
- Calculate building cooling loads efficiently using Authority-approved software
- Manage and direct CAD and BIM specialists, ensuring designs align with Azizi’s technical and quality standards
- Coordinate with Submittal Engineers to ensure that all submissions meet Dubai authorities\' requirements (DEWA, Trakhees, etc.)
- Maintain and manage all records related to mechanical document submissions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless design integration
- Apply authority regulations, sustainable design practices, and innovative mechanical solutions
- Perform technical reviews and value engineering of mechanical design packages
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design, working with reputable PMCs or consultants in the Middle East
- Extensive project portfolio covering high-rise buildings, luxury residential projects, hospitality, and mixed-use developments in the UAE
Skills:
- Proficient in HVAC load calculations using HAP software
- Strong command over duct and piping design, equipment selection, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with Dubai authority regulations including DEWA, Trakhees, DCD, and DM
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and technical leadership skills
- Effective coordination and project management abilities
