The Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES) at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to lead research in geotechnical engineering. This role involves advancing knowledge in areas such as artificial intelligence applications in geotechnical engineering, bioremediation, geoenvironmental engineering, geohazards risk assessment, energy geotechnics, and advanced experimental testing.

- Lead research publications and contribute to scientific journals and conferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including faculty, graduate students, and researchers.
- Develop and manage research projects, ensuring timely progress and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students involved in related research projects.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in AI applications, bioremediation, geoenvironmental engineering, or geohazards risk assessment.
- Experience in geotechnical experimental testing and field instrumentation.
- Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proficiency in data analysis and research software relevant to geotechnical engineering.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Experience in sustainable energy geotechnics and environmental impact analysis.
- Familiarity with numerical modeling and machine learning applications in geotechnical engineering.
