The Arabian Center for Environmental and Climate Sciences (ACCESS) at NYU Abu Dhabi is developing an advanced environmental monitoring system for the UAE, integrating autonomous land and marine sensors along with high-resolution atmospheric and climate models. The center is generating vast amounts of data that require sophisticated archiving, analysis, visualization, and accessibility for researchers and the broader public. This role will support data-driven environmental research and system development.

Responsibilities
- Develop web-based visualization and archival tools for environmental and climate data
- Design automated software tools for retrieving and archiving data from autonomous sensors
- Conduct data analysis using mathematical and statistical techniques for multi-source datasets
- Work closely with faculty on research projects related to environmental modeling and sensor data integration
- Collaborate with researchers and technicians on data collection field trips
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any STEM-related field with demonstrated computing skills
- Proficiency in Python and experience in data science, statistical analysis, or machine learning
- Basic understanding of web programming and development of dashboards or data visualization tools
- Strong mathematical background and aptitude for scientific computing
- Experience with Linux operating systems and high-performance computing environments is highly desirable
- Additional experience in embedded computing, image processing, and UAV-acquired imagery is beneficial
