What Does an Oracle Senior Functional Consultant Do?
As an Oracle Senior Functional Consultant at Deloitte, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing Oracle HR and Payroll systems for our enterprise clients. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and industry leaders to implement legislative updates, investigate complex issues, and deliver high-quality SaaS solutions.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Design and enhance Oracle HR/Payroll business solutions for Australian and New Zealand clients
- Provide ongoing functional support and troubleshooting across Oracle HCM Cloud and E-Business Suite
- Interpret and implement changes in AU/NZ payroll legislation within Oracle platforms
- Investigate issues, analyze root causes, and recommend long-term solutions
- Document functional requirements and ensure accurate system configurations
- Manage functional deployments and coordinate with offshore consultants and third-party vendors
- Facilitate integration and collaboration with vendors including Oracle and Applaud
- Provide advisory services to clients, ensuring effective solution design and implementation
What Skills Are Needed for an Oracle Senior Functional Consultant in Australia?
Education:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll
- Hands-on expertise in implementation, support, and configuration of Oracle HR/Payroll systems
- Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
Skills:
- Proficient in Oracle Payroll Fast Formulas and HCM Cloud configuration
- Experience with Oracle R12 Payroll setup and issue resolution
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately
