Accountant Profit and Loss and Creditors Management
Location: Dubai
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage **Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis** and **creditors’ accounts** within the **MEP, fit-out, or construction industry**. This role is essential for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain optimal financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
- Identify areas for cost optimization and recommend solutions
- Ensure proper alignment between project budgets and actual expenditures
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers
- Process invoices and payments to creditors in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Resolve creditor disputes and negotiate favorable payment terms
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in cash flow management and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and industry-specific accounting standards
- Support internal and external audits
- Track project costs and financial performance to ensure accurate expense allocation
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the MEP, fit-out, or construction industry (mandatory)
Education
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, ACCA, or other professional certifications are an advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Profit and Loss (P&L) management and creditors\' accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills for creditor relationship management
