What Does a Global Markets Sales Manager Do?
- Originate and distribute Global Markets (GM) products to Corporate and Government clients within FAB’s Investment Banking Group
- Meet and exceed assigned revenue and sales targets across multi-asset class solutions
- Deepen strategic client relationships by offering customized GM solutions and thought leadership
- Ensure compliance with internal regulatory frameworks and GM Sales guidelines
- Promote cross-sell opportunities and optimize client activity across FX, MM, Credit, Equities, Commodities, Derivatives, and Islamic Products
- Collaborate closely with internal product, coverage, risk, and compliance teams to enhance client service delivery
- Act as a brand ambassador for FAB, maintaining a strong professional presence in the market
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Develop and manage a high-value client portfolio consisting of real estate firms, diversified conglomerates, sovereign entities, and more
- Deliver high-quality execution of GM solutions while maintaining a strong control framework
- Ensure all trading and client interaction processes adhere to best practice and regulatory standards
- Utilize performance metrics and MIS reporting to track and enhance client engagement
- Provide mentorship or guidance to interns or junior staff when applicable
What Skills Are Needed for a Global Markets Sales Manager in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, or a related field
Experience:
- 10–15 years of experience in Financial Markets with a focus on Corporate Sales
- Strong knowledge of global GM product suites including FX, credit, derivatives, and more
- Hands-on experience in pricing models, risk valuation, RAROC, and XVA
- Proven ability to work under pressure in high-volume environments
Skills:
- Strong client service and relationship-building capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound understanding of compliance, risk, and legal engagement in product delivery
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic or other regional languages are a plus
