What Does a Relationship Manager Do?
As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial clients. Your role is to deliver tailored banking solutions, drive revenue growth, maintain compliance, and ensure high service quality that reflects FAB’s values.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Originate and develop business opportunities across borrowing and non-borrowing clients
- Build long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction across all touchpoints
- Achieve revenue and portfolio targets by cross-selling products and deepening Share of Wallet
- Lead credit proposal preparation and support onboarding of new borrowing clients
- Monitor credit compliance, customer documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Resolve escalated customer service issues and ensure turnaround time commitments are met
- Maintain an active sales pipeline with complete and accurate client information
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders such as CFOs and CEOs to understand holistic banking needs
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Credit, Operations, and Product to deliver seamless service
What Skills Are Needed for a Relationship Manager Role in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate, commercial, or business banking
- At least 3 years in a similar role managing borrowing clients
Skills:
- Deep understanding of credit analysis and commercial banking solutions
- Proven ability to achieve financial targets and manage high-value portfolios
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience handling onboarding, credit documentation, and compliance processes
- Ability to manage complex client requirements with a solutions-based approach
