Senior Electrical Design Engineer – High-End Real Estate Projects, Dubai
Azizi Developments is looking for a detail-driven and technically proficient Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design 360 Studio in Dubai. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong portfolio in high-rise, luxury residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing complex electrical systems from concept to construction for some of the UAE’s most iconic real estate projects.

What Does a Senior Electrical Design Engineer Do?
- Lead the complete electrical system design for upscale residential and hospitality developments
- Oversee the integration of CCTV, fire alarm systems, lighting, access control, and emergency electrical systems
- Collaborate with mechanical, architectural, and MEP teams to deliver coordinated and compliant project documents
- Ensure designs meet all authority guidelines including DEWA, Trakhees, and other UAE regulatory standards
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Develop electrical system design drawings and specifications from concept to IFC stage
- Ensure compliance with relevant Dubai and UAE authority standards (DEWA, Trakhees, etc.)
- Coordinate with CAD/BIM specialists and provide design leadership and technical oversight
- Assist submittal engineers in preparing and reviewing authority submission documents
- Manage project documentation and track all electrical design submittals
- Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainable electrical system planning in large-scale developments
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with Azizi’s design standards
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
Experience:
- 10–15 years of electrical design experience in the UAE or GCC
- Must have a strong portfolio in luxury towers, hotels, residential complexes, and mixed-use developments
- Experience working with leading PMCs, consultancies, or developers in Dubai is highly desirable
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in designing electrical systems including power, lighting, life safety (CCTV, fire alarms), and emergency systems
- Familiar with load calculation tools and authority-approved software
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and electrical system integration in Revit
- Deep knowledge of DEWA regulations and other relevant UAE authority standards
Soft Skills:
- Strong project coordination, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills to liaise with consultants, contractors, and authorities
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines with high attention to detail
