What Does an Islamic B Teacher Do?
An Islamic B Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality Islamic Studies education to non-Arabic speaking students. The role focuses on instilling a deep understanding of Islamic values, beliefs, and history while ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging for diverse learners.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Teach Islamic Studies (Islamic B curriculum) to non-Arab students in accordance with UAE Ministry of Education requirements
- Prepare engaging lesson plans tailored to different learning abilities and student backgrounds
- Promote Islamic values and foster moral, spiritual, and social development among students
- Encourage participation through creative teaching strategies and inclusive classroom activities
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate academic records
- Collaborate with other Islamic Studies staff and contribute to whole-school Islamic events and celebrations
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and activities to promote Islamic identity and ethical behavior
- Engage positively with parents to support students’ religious and moral development
- Ensure alignment with school values, safeguarding procedures, and UAE educational standards
What Skills Are Needed for an Islamic B Teacher in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or related field
- B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification in Islamic Studies is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic B curriculum (non-native Arabic students)
- Experience in British or international curriculum schools is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong subject knowledge of Islamic beliefs, practices, values, and historical content
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus
- Creative and inclusive teaching approach suitable for non-Arab learners
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to integrate moral and ethical teachings into everyday learning
