What Does a Physics Teacher Do?
A Physics Teacher delivers engaging, practical, and academically rigorous instruction to students at the secondary level, with a focus on GCSE (and potentially A-Level). The role emphasizes critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and real-world application to prepare students for university and beyond.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Teach Physics at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level, with potential for KS5 depending on experience
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with the British curriculum
- Foster curiosity and a deep understanding of physical sciences through interactive labs and demonstrations
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL and SEN students
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction and interventions
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning across STEM subjects
- Integrate digital tools and simulations to support conceptual understanding
- Contribute to extracurricular science programs, STEM clubs, and academic competitions
- Engage with parents and guardians to support student achievement

What Skills Are Needed for a Physics Teacher in Dubai?
Education:
- B.Ed in Science/Physics or a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience teaching Physics at GCSE level is essential
- Experience in British or international curriculum schools is preferred
