Director of Power Generation
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary
Reports to: President – Solutions Business
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced **Director of Power Generation** to lead the development and sales of **Turbine Inlet Air Chilling (TIAC) projects** for the power generation market. This role requires a strong technical background, business acumen, and the ability to work across multiple departments to drive project success. The ideal candidate will have expertise in combined cycle power plants, utility markets, and gas turbine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of **Turbine Inlet Air Chilling (TIAC) projects** for the power generation market
- Manage customer relationships and oversee project conceptual design, technical analyses, and estimation processes
- Develop and execute strategies to secure custom TIAC solutions for **utilities, independent power producers, cooperatives, and municipalities** in the USA and internationally
- Work with suppliers and partners to create proposals, negotiate contracts, and transition projects to execution teams
- Establish and maintain strong relationships within the targeted market
- Present technical and commercial proposals to internal teams, customers, and industry conferences
Required Qualifications
- **Bachelor of Science in Engineering** from an accredited university
- 5+ years of experience in the **industrial power generation market**
- 5+ years of experience managing or leading a team
- Strong knowledge of **gas turbines, combined cycle power plants, and utility markets**
- Experience in **gas turbine operation for power generation or oil and gas applications**
- Understanding of **US energy markets** and major gas turbine OEM products
- Familiarity with **engineering deliverables** such as P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and general arrangements
- Strong **technical writing** and proposal development skills
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite**
Preferred Qualifications
- **Master’s degree in Engineering or Business** from an accredited university
- Experience with applicable software such as **GT Pro**
- Previous experience in a **commercial or sales role** within the power generation industry

- Excellent **organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills**
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at **both plant and corporate levels**
- Experience conducting business across multiple countries and working with various **power generation technologies**
Work Environment and Travel
- Office-based position in **Jacksonville, FL** with periodic visits to SEA Manufacturing Facility for observation and research
- Travel up to **40%**, including occasional local day trips, site visits, and industry conferences
Work Schedule
- Full-time position, **Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.**
