The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is seeking a Manager for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to drive AI excellence, smart mobility innovation, and digital transformation initiatives. This role plays a key leadership part in aligning AI strategies with Dubai’s digital vision and the UAE National AI Strategy.

Job Overview
The Manager – AI and Data Science will be responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of AI solutions across RTA. The role includes managing AI projects, fostering AI literacy, driving AI adoption across departments, ensuring ethical practices, and representing RTA at national and international AI events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of RTA’s AI strategies aligned with national and organizational objectives
- Ensure implementation of ethical AI practices and strong governance frameworks
- Drive innovation through the development of predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven applications
- Oversee the integration of scalable AI platforms within RTA’s enterprise architecture
- Promote AI literacy through training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Represent RTA at local and international AI forums and contribute to award submissions
- Manage AI vendor selection, contract negotiations, and project tendering processes
- Provide mentorship and strategic direction to AI specialists, data scientists, and related teams
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to enhance AI integration and adoption
- Monitor AI project risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to cybersecurity and data privacy standards
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in AI, data science, machine learning, or related technical leadership roles
Skills:
- Expertise in machine learning, AI governance, big data analytics, RPA, and cloud computing
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks related to AI and data privacy
- Proven experience in building and deploying AI-driven solutions at enterprise scale
- Advanced project management and vendor management skills
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and strategic planning capabilities
