Job Overview
The Manager – Statistics and Data Analysis will oversee the management, analysis, and reporting of transport, traffic, and mobility data to support RTA’s strategic initiatives. The role ensures the effective use of big data platforms, statistical modeling, and visualization tools to guide operational improvements and public mobility strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise data collection, review, and approval processes related to transport, traffic, and mobility systems
- Align departmental data goals with RTA’s strategic objectives and regulatory standards
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs and network performance, generating actionable recommendations
- Lead initiatives to utilize big data platforms for transport planning and predictive analytics
- Coordinate data exchange and ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain comprehensive statistical databases and transport data publications
- Lead sector-level performance reporting and contribute to audits and evaluations
- Ensure adherence to data governance, data security, and knowledge management practices
- Contribute statistical analyses and reports for RTA’s annual report and official documents
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across RTA departments
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline preferred
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum 11 years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree: Minimum 9 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Strong expertise in statistical modeling, KPI tracking, and data storytelling
- Proficiency in statistical tools such as R, Python, SPSS, SAS, or similar software
- High-level analytical thinking and predictive modeling capabilities
- Strong background in big data platforms and data visualization techniques
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
