What Does an SAP TRM Consultant Do?
An SAP TRM Consultant is responsible for implementing tax and revenue management systems, designing workflows for taxpayer services, and integrating SAP solutions with third-party systems. This role plays a key part in public sector digitization by streamlining processes like tax registration, filing, payment, and refund management.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Deliver SAP TRM and PSCD solutions tailored for public sector revenue systems
- Configure modules for taxpayer registration, return filing, payments, refunds, and deregistration
- Prepare Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) and Due Diligence Assessments
- Perform business impact analysis to align system configurations with compliance needs
- Collaborate with SAP/Microsoft implementation vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure integration with third-party systems for seamless data flow
- Conduct training sessions for users at all levels, including senior leadership
- Stay current on new technologies and apply them to ongoing SAP engagements
- Use Agile methodologies to manage deliverables and promote collaboration
- Test SAP modules using both manual and automated testing processes
What Skills Are Needed for SAP TRM Roles in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- 8–12 years of experience in SAP implementation and public sector projects
- Minimum 2 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or auditing
- Strong understanding of tax legislation and revenue cycle management
Technical & Functional Skills:
- SAP TRM and PSCD module configuration
- BRD writing, business impact assessments, and SDLC knowledge
- Integration with external systems and APIs
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and collaborative engagement
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
