The Senior Engineer – Rail Procurement and Contracts Management will be responsible for managing procurement processes, overseeing contracts, participating in tender management, and ensuring efficient sourcing practices. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support all aspects of the procurement cycle, including tender preparation and evaluation
- Oversee contract development, review, and management activities to ensure compliance with RTA and Rail sector standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical specifications and sourcing requirements
- Ensure procurement processes align with budget, quality, and schedule objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors
- Analyze supplier proposals and assist in negotiation processes to secure optimal terms
- Monitor contract execution and performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency
- Maintain detailed procurement records and provide regular reporting to senior management
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Civil) from a recognized university
Experience:
- Preferred experience in contracts management, tendering processes, and procurement activities
- Familiarity with public sector procurement standards and Rail industry requirements is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong understanding of procurement, tendering, and contract management principles
