The Transport Policy and Planning Specialist will conduct professional transportation policy analyses, prepare technical studies and reports, evaluate travel demand management measures, and propose solutions to planning challenges in Dubai. The role involves extensive coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure policy alignment with Dubai’s strategic transport objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct transport policy studies and assist in preparing technical reports and presentations
- Suggest and participate in the development of new transportation policies and studies
- Evaluate the impact of various transportation policies and travel demand management measures
- Identify and study transportation planning issues and propose practical solutions
- Analyze different public transport and road network planning options and scenarios
- Plan, design, and supervise travel surveys required for transport policy development
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on transport policy initiatives
- Conduct benchmarking studies and suggest up-to-date policy improvements
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support transport planning efforts
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Urban Planning from a recognized university
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transport policy, planning, or related fields
Skills:
- Strong analytical and technical reporting abilities
- Project management skills with a focus on quality standards and performance evaluation
- Good knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis techniques
- Ability to conceptualize transportation challenges and develop effective solutions
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
