What Does a Post-doctoral Associate in Economics Do?
This role supports independent research and collaboration on cutting-edge studies in labor and development economics. The associate will work closely with Professors Pauline Corblet and Samreen Malik on empirical and structural models tied to labor market surveys. The research will explore belief systems and their influence on labor market behavior in both developed and developing countries.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct independent research in macro, labor, or development economics
- Collaborate on research in education and labor markets with a structural modeling focus
- Design, implement, and analyze labor market and belief-related surveys
- Work with large-scale datasets and conduct empirical analysis
- Develop and apply structural economic models to human capital and labor economics
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
- Optional: Gain teaching experience for compensation if desired
What Skills Are Needed for a Post-doctoral Associate in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- PhD in Economics with specialization in macroeconomics, labor, or development (completed or near completion)
Experience:
