What Does a Research Assistant in Gait Rehabilitation Robotics Do?
The selected candidate will assist in the development of a wearable soft exoskeleton designed to support the right lower limb of stroke patients. The goal is to improve mobility through synchronized motion and haptic feedback, helping patients achieve better control and rehabilitation outcomes.
What Are the Main Responsibilities of This Role?
- Conduct literature reviews related to wearable robotics and gait rehabilitation technologies
- Design and prototype a wearable exoskeleton system tailored for lower-limb rehabilitation
- Develop a user-friendly interface for patient-therapist interaction
- Integrate and test haptic (vibration-based) feedback systems for movement guidance
- Assist in hardware assembly and perform iterative design testing
What Qualifications Are Required?
Education:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
Language Skills:
- Strong written and spoken communication in both Arabic and English
What Skills and Experience Are Preferred?
- Basic hardware development experience
- Programming skills relevant to embedded systems or human-machine interfaces
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
