What Does a Front Office Supervisor Do?
As a Front Office Supervisor, you will oversee the performance of the housekeeping and front office teams, ensuring a superior level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will play a key role in coordinating daily activities, supervising staff, and responding to guest needs to uphold Sofitel’s luxury service standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Supervise room cleanliness, guest corridors, public areas, and back-of-house housekeeping areas
- Ensure daily room inspections and maintain quality checklists
- Handle guest requests efficiently and courteously
- Record room statuses accurately using the PMS system
- Coordinate with engineering for room maintenance or malfunction reports
- Train, guide, and brief the housekeeping staff regularly
- Manage inventory and supply replenishment for guest rooms
- Uphold hygiene, safety, and health standards across all areas
- Assist in maintaining VIP and guest category standards
- Support Assistant Housekeeping Manager in operational tasks and reporting
What Skills Are Needed for a Front Office Supervisor in Dubai?
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with property management systems (PMS)
- Professional grooming and presentation standards
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
- Ability to manage and train staff effectively
