Job Overview
The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure. The role demands hands-on technical expertise, excellent vendor and SLA management, and familiarity with data center facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations for all building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and security infrastructure
- Manage lifecycle and maintenance of key assets such as elevators, generators, UPS, fire systems, RO/water treatment, and sewage plants
- Oversee service contracts, vendor performance, and SLAs to ensure operational standards and cost efficiency
- Ensure facilities comply with local safety, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate security and surveillance infrastructure maintenance
- Participate in audits, inspections, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support office infrastructure and expansion plans
- Optimize building performance through preventive maintenance and system upgrades
- Prepare performance reports and budget plans for facility operations and vendor contracts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities management, especially in HVAC and building systems
- Deep understanding of data center cooling, power, and safety designs
- Experience with building security and surveillance infrastructure
- Proven record of managing vendor relationships and maintenance contracts
- Strong working knowledge of local UAE regulations and facility compliance standards
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
