What Does a Payments Delivery Manager Do in Dubai?
As a Payments Delivery Manager at Dicetek, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of payments projects, including integration with core banking systems and external gateways like SWIFT, ACH, and RTGS. The role requires working closely with technical teams, vendors, business users, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Manage solution delivery for payments system implementation and transformation programs
- Define detailed delivery plans with clear milestones, responsibilities, and deadlines
- Coordinate with PMO, test managers, application owners, business analysts, and vendors
- Oversee end-to-end project management lifecycle from planning to rollout
- Drive scope definition, change management, release planning, and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure alignment with business priorities while balancing technology scalability and cost
- Prepare progress reports, track implementation, and conduct regular stakeholder updates
- Analyze system issues, lead root cause analysis, and prioritize resolution activities
- Collaborate with vendors for defect resolution and testing support
- Support SIT, regression, integration testing, performance tuning, and production readiness
- Conduct impact assessments for change requests and manage production deployments
- Coordinate training and simulation sessions for business and operations teams
- Ensure adherence to internal compliance, operational risk policies, and technology standards
What Skills Are Needed for a Payments Delivery Role in Dubai?
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 12+ years of experience in IT project management, specifically in banking and payments domain
- Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs within financial services
Technical and Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of payment systems, including SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, and clearing mechanisms
- Experience in integrating payments with core banking systems and external gateways
- Familiarity with API design, distributed application architecture, and API Connect deployment
- Ability to document integration designs, system requirements, and implementation roadmaps
- Sound knowledge of change impact assessments and test strategy development
