What Does a Product Owner Do?
The Product Owner is responsible for delivering a complete service or feature, from gathering business requirements and design through to development, rollout, and post-launch support. The role requires engaging with public and private sector entities, internal stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure seamless product onboarding and continuous improvement.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Manage the full lifecycle of service or feature delivery (requirement gathering to post-deployment support)
- Develop detailed user stories, use cases, and process flows
- Lead onboarding of public and private sector entities and ensure API integration
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder meetings, and alignment sessions with entities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to re-engineer business processes for better customer-centric services
- Act as Product Owner within Scrum teams, planning and prioritizing the product backlog
- Align product development with company strategy and stakeholder needs
- Perform backlog management, iteration planning, and user story elaboration
- Ensure smooth delivery of services aligned with agile principles
- Identify impediments affecting the development cycle and work to resolve them
- Stay updated on Agile/Scrum best practices, trends, and tools

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or agile project management
