What Does an SAP FICA Consultant Do?
As an SAP FICA Consultant, your primary responsibility is to ensure the design and implementation of high-quality SAP financial solutions. You will engage in full lifecycle projects, map business processes, and provide functional expertise across finance and controlling modules, enabling long-term success for clients.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct As-Is and To-Be business process workshops during SAP implementation
- Map complex business requirements to SAP financial modules
- Configure SAP FICA and related modules to meet client-specific needs
- Prepare detailed Functional Specification and Configuration documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams for seamless delivery
- Support end-to-end implementation including testing, go-live, and post-deployment support
What Skills Are Required for This Role in Hyderabad?
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
Experience:
- 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICA and other finance modules
- Experience with cross-functional areas such as FSCM, PSCD, FSCD, and Product Costing
- Domain experience is a must for Senior Consultant level roles
- Strong accounting background and practical understanding of financial workflows
Skills:
- Expertise in SAP modules including GL with segment reporting, AR/AP, Asset Accounting, Cost Center & Internal Orders, Project Systems, and Investment Management
- Proficiency in configuration and business process mapping
- Strong analytical thinking and documentation abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
